Wendy ChaplinSince qualifying as a Sports Massage Therapist with Premier Training in 2003, Wendy has worked continuously as a freelance therapist at various clinics, local businesses and also at events, including the Olympics.

She is a qualified Personal Trainer and works at The Exercise Clinic, Bourne End, offering training and rehabilitation advice to clients as well as teaching circuit classes.

She has studied sports and remedial massage at The Oxford School of Sports Massage, one of only five accredited schools in the UK that teach the prestigious BTEC professional diploma course. This qualification has become the benchmark for quality training, which includes advanced remedial massage techniques and assessment skills, and an advanced working knowledge of anatomy and physiology.

More recently Wendy has trained at The Central School of Thai Massage in Leamington Spa with Kathryn Ellis and has discovered the wonders of Thai Yoga Massage which she is now able to share with clients.

In the last few years she has attended several courses at The North London School of Sports Massage with Noah Karrasch to study CORE Myofascial Release and she is able to offer treatments including those techniques for those ready to make the change.

Qualifications and Experience

Wendy has been involved and competed in various sports including badminton, running, climbing, mountain walking, yoga, concept indoor rowing and gym work.

Sports massage has become an important part of the work Wendy does, and whether it's working with professional athletes, juniors, disabled or able bodied, she thoroughly enjoys her work and believes that everyone can benefit from regular massage.

Wendy has Public and Products Liability insurance and references are available on request. She also has a valid up to date enhanced CRB certificate. She has membership of the Institute of Sports & Remedial Massage and Sports Massage Association (Level 4); she is recognised as a Pru Health provider and is registered with the Complimentary & Natural Healthcare Council. She also regularly attends CPD courses to enhance her skills and keep up with new developments.
